if you thought buck in a shirt was silly, just wait until i'm forced to make him wear pants... he got the bandages off yesterday, but there are several sore spots from him wearing a splint for 6 weeks. so, once his paw heals up a little and that doesn't also need to be covered, he may end up in a whole little track suit. ha!
actually the shirt phase is over, that's healed.
anyway, life marches on, i continue to worry if i'm doing the right thing. actually it's not the direction that i'm worried about, it's the price of getting there. found a rockin cool new job that i'm completely excited about, but i'm anxious about going back to contracting and leaving the security of the mothership. ultimately all this change is good, it's good for me, i'm so ready to work again (quite a bit of down time lately) - i get more done when i'm busy.
but the dining room is painted, and it so rocks. went from dark icky green (not inherently bad, but it was the wrong shade, kinda bad green sweatshirt green) to what i'm calling curry pumpkin pie (actually named cognac). it's very pretty and it changes everything. i should so paint the whole house before i have to go back to work.
it's been kinda glorious to take a break from living in front of a computer screen, it's good to go analog once in awhile.
and b. is currently somewhere west of the fold in the map (kansas city-ish) driving a big truck full-o-stuff including a motorcycle, and towing a car. god knows where all of it's going to go. but then, when all the north carolina crap is here, in seattle, we will officially be for-real living together, no un-used apartment or storage unit in a different state. hard to believe how quickly time passes.
there are the assorted highlights.

Posted by: rosebaby on April 9, 2004 06:41 PMp.s. the whole dog-in-pants thing is NOT the same as dog in shirt. it didn't work. i thought i was being clever. i was just being stupid...
Posted by: rosebaby on April 9, 2004 06:44 PMactually, i rather liked buck in a shirt. i'm going to miss that.
Posted by: Sarah on April 10, 2004 08:30 AMhe'll get to keep some of his wardrobe. although i threatened to make hotpants for me out of the tiny kid sweats that i bought for him. :) (a very bad idea and only a marginally funny joke)
