you never really want to go to value village to buy a green velour kids shirt for your dog, but sometimes life is like that.

we started out with just wrapping his front leg. gauze, ace bandage wrap (the one-use, stick to itself kind). that got moved up to being covered with a sock (intially one of my old ones with the toe cut out). then buck got his own socks, with the toes cut out, bandaged over said leg. that was all fine, but the minute i would turn my head he would get the whole thing moved down so he could once again get to licking.

his surgery leg is doing fine (covered with a sock also, and additionally he wears an old IV bag "shoe" to go outside). his med patch leg is doing fine (shaved like a friggin poodle), but the front leg had the IV in it and he has repeatedly licked hotspots on that front leg. so, while they are healing, they aren't healing fast enough because he manages to get to them. green velour (it was very stretchy) is my new solution.

he also has some other outfits. unfortunately his cowboy t-shirt turned out to be too small. now that was good.

i wonder how much i'm going to end up spending in doggie therapy.
