There is too much loss these days.
Bless his tiny chihuahua heart. There is a quote that comes up to the effect of 'every time someone dies a chapter closes'. I'm totally extending that to animals. When I've lost pets the deep sadness is very much some part of me closing. The heart grows to encompass new companions, but it never over-writes the place that the others hold.
