i love magazines. when i'm broke, like now, i fantasize about subscriptions. the boy, bless his long toes, bought me a copy of nest the other week. i love books too, but magazines are different, less committment, more fling.
via maggie, this link to kottke's magazine solicitation post didn't help my productivity this afternoon.
also, i think i'm going to start a martini magazine meeting. like a book club, only someone gets to pick a mag each month. then, drink martinis and discuss.

Someone must tell Kottke that UTNE Reader has gone to hell! Management changed and now they do these bizarre watered-down medleys instead of printing full articles.
