time passes very differently when you can't see daylight. if i sit very straight and look over the top of my monitor, i can see a tiny sliver of sky. but it's hard to keep doing that while working, so i feel like one of those cave dwellers. i actually didn't think it would bother me that much, moving offices, losing my window (just the way the seniority worked, we lost windows and gained some people with more seniority). i've had a window, even when i wasn't supposed to really, for close to 7 years. this so sucks.

even buck, well buck is none to happy about it either. he whined all morning, wanting to go back to the other office, not this strange new place. he grew up in the other office, puppy fart molecules are permanently embedded in anything remotely porous. although he's doing a great job on catching up for this office already.

yesterday, just prior to the power outage that was to blame for my 3 hour trip home, one of my favorite boys down the hall (i'm guessing he was the only 4H chicken queen) walked by and said 'where did you GET that CHICKEN!!!' a brief explanation of archie mcphees and large cling-sticker farm animals ensued. i said, you know, i have another one also. you can take the chicken if you'll hang it up. he excitedly removed the chicken and i then saw him scurrying around with white board cleaner and various window cleaning chemicals preparing the way for his new chicken.

so look for buck and i under the sign of the goat.

You moved? To what building? I'm moving in a week or so, to the building next to where I'm at now. Stupid... And I STILL won't have a window. I've been working at the beast for a long time, and I've never had one. I missed one this time by one month, though... :-(

Long time no see. Lunch?

i just moved to the other side of the building. it seems that we do this every 6-8 months. it's kinda silly. i'd love to have lunch. :)
