I just sprayed the Pile-B-Gone on it!

mmmmwelllllll. Actually not. Last Saturday I spent the day getting rid of the pile so I could surprise Brian with it all being gone. To have someone else haul it away was minimally about $200. And that was money I'd rather spend on yarn. Oh wait. I did. Some of it.

So, 3 trips to the dump (a RAV4 is considered a car!) = 36 bucks. A couple of paper yard waste bags = $5, and every yardwaste can in the neighborhood = priceless.

Then we had a 16 hour mini-break with Mardi and Dion and Guy and Odette in the mountains, and then it all slid back into this and that.

We finally got to see the tax guy today. He's funny. In a good way. Howie Choder in Seattle if you need someone. He's bailing us both out.

What else..... hmmm. Need more sleep.

OH! WAIT. Masie Plum Drinkwater and Mr Masie Plum Drinkwater bought a house *1 MILE* from us!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We tried to reel them into within a 3 block radius, but it didn't quite work. The added bonus is that the martini couch has now found a good home and will get a new skin, and begin to live the entertaining life it was designed for. I'm so excited about both of those things.

boys on the couch

The best thing about Andrew visiting was maybe that he said "There are two things I REALLY want to do when I'm done with classes. 1) Learn to surf. 2) Learn to knit."

It was amazing and wonderful to spend time with Andrew off the playa. The boys have known each other a very long time, and I finally got some quality time with B's best friend. Better yet, the guys got quality time.

And I think the scariest thing was maybe that Andrew could quote my blog entries.

It's really wonderful to feel so comfortable with friends. Granted, Andrew was inherited, but what a grand inheritance. Now we have to get he and his almost-wife up here more and/or permanently.

And teach everyone to knit.
