hello brown toe


the first socks i ever started (other socks have been knit in the mean time) are now finally done. moments ago i finished weaving in ends.

needless to say i ran out of yarn, and i'm not crazy about yarn choice so i wasn't about to go buy more. i happened to have brown in the same yarn, so that's what i used.

the pattern (nancy bush's little arrowhead lace) was just fine and swell, but i'm not a big fan of the encore.

but the socks fit, and they're done!

heh. maybe i'll send them to you. another friend also said (seeing them in person) how much she liked them. i only like them because they're done. :) i don't know if i will ever wear them other than the 10 minutes on the couch while taking pics...

i promise to knit with yarn i like next time to avoid all this whining.
