lately i'm obsessed with the designs of denyse schmidt. but while trolling around flickr, i found several photos of this beautiful korean version of quilting. it's called pojagi. it's worth a little google time if you are interested in such things.

denyse schmidt brings standard (by which i mean grandma's) quilting into the 21st century with designs i can barely stop staring at. and pojagi is sort of quilting without the quilt. with beautiful and simple patterns that are very pleasing.

it is to quilting what lace knitting is to felted knitted.
