i was reading on someone's blog that a character in harry potter liked to read knitting patterns. either my brain ate that info and it's gone or it happens in one of the more recent tomes that i haven't finished yet.

i like to read patterns too. it's not quite as good as knitting, but it will do in a pinch.

the weather is cooling down, and i want to have time to knit again. i can't believe it's only been a year since i've started knitting again, but i guess that's true. B. says i half knit a lot of stuff now, but it's more that i use patterns less, which inherently means (for me) starting over more often.

in progress:
blue socks for me (little arrowhead lace)
groovy opal orange socks for b. (not very far along, as it's tiny yarn and tiny needles)
a lace scarf out of cobwebby lime yarn
a winter hat out of gorgeous golden manos
and i still need to sew up my pink summer sweater

there's a possible sweater for b, pending his approval. but he's more of a hoodie guy. or very expensive fine merino. and some other stuff.

i'm way too busy to make much knitting headway. but i want to. and the busier i get the more crafty stuff i want to make. of course.
