I've been clean far too long.
Buck is back in action. Let's just say he's a little happy that I've returned to the mothership so he can go play with his friends.

love is funny
dad is better-ish. concerns with one thing turned into concerns with another. and that man is as stubborn as i've ever seen. he wonders where i get it from. i'm still worried, but i can't make decisions for him.
being back at the mothership is weird, but work is good, or, well, income is good. when i told someone i felt a bit like a loser for going back, she said "it's not like you're going back to flipping burgers, it's THE MOTHERSHIP"... true enough. it's still temporary, we'll see how the ducks are quacking in a few months.
and we finally got a little starter sewing machine. i bought it from a friend, so we'll save our xmas allotment for the right one when we figure out what that is. in the mean time we have one we can beat up. i wanted to try it out yesterday, so i made this sort of quilty pillow out of jeans parts. well, across one side are three pockets. which is really kind of odd and funny. b. got home and saw what i had made and was nice enough not to say "that looks like a total big pile of ass". so i said to b. "honey, i can leave you love notes in the pockets". at which point he laughed until he nearly cried. i admit it was funny, but there was a time...
