on a friend's recommendation i had my first bubble tea at a little place at alki beach. MMMMM. coconut with tapioca.

the tea was awesome, but i think i loved the machine that sealed the whole drink closed almost as much. it puts a seal on like the interior seal of plastic on yogurt or pre-grated parmesan or cottage cheese. then you poke the straw through that. but the plastic had a cute asian cartoon character and the writing was (of course, to me) pretty and unreadable.

the tapioca was very strange (the pearls are so large) and very good.
